Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 06:31AM Went for a lunchtime stroll today through the Botanical Gardens in Sydney. We only really got to see a small part of the gardens, and shall be going back!

Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 08:22PM A quick run down to Canberra for my annual visit to the War Memorial. I also went to the National Gallery (no photography allowed inside of course).
The statue of Simpson and his donkey in front of the memorial. trust me, there IS a donkey down lower!

If you are after wind, I can highly recommend Canberra in August. Man, it blew!

Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 11:48PM A new festival was started in Sydney this year, with a number of major buildings such as the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Opera House being lit up at night. We braved the winter's night to have a look around.
This is the Museum of contemporary art, and of course the Opera House was there too.

Monday, May 11, 2009 at 07:54AM I went for a walk to these historical barracks in sydney to try out my new 35mm f1.4 lens. It looks like a keeper!
On the way I found a statue of Trim the cat, who was Matthew Flinder's cat on his navigational trips in the 19th century. The feather makes it look like he just had dinner.
I took a few shots inside the barracks to give the lens a bit more of a run
